A little about Me
When Schmoopie’s opened there was very little available in in-home pet care. I was working full time, and had just gotten a puppy. I had no way to get home to take my Husky Kyra Skye out. I soon started going to school full time to learn about business, and began my dog walking service.
Now I not only walk dogs year-round, I also pet-sit, house-sit, provide some behavioral advising, and also socialize dogs who need it.
With competitive rates and a true love for animals, I go above and beyond on my normal daily walks to ensure your pets are safe and happy every day.
My History
After joining the Coast Guard and traveling for a few years I went back to Florida. While I was there a friend mentioned that the Junior Humane Society needed more foster homes. I volunteered to take in abused, neglected and scared dogs. I was able to work with them and bring them back to being a normal dog.
I moved to Massachusetts to go back to school, and have been here since February 2006. I continue to go to school at UMASS Dartmouth at night, and work with dogs during the day.

A new arrival!!!
I have welcomed another Husky to my family, Chevy Avalanche.
He had been tied to a tree for 11 months. In July of '09 I went to meet him and brought him home as a foster. With the amazing generosity and help of the Boston Snow Dogs we brought him back to health- he has Lyme disease, had a ton of worms, and a massive ear infection. Although he will always have Lyme, he shows no ill effects of the disease.
When my 8 weeks of fostering him were up, no one could believe that I was going to put him up for adoption, I had a home lined up, and even she said she couldn't believe I would do it. She was right, and I have kept him, he keeps me on my toes and brings me 2 times the joy of having Huskies!!!
Now with a stable home, lots of toys, treats and a sister to play with, he is learning a new job- Urban Mushing and Mushing, he is learning to really work for his kibble, toys and treats- there is no free ride for my dogs!!!
When you see him with me say HI!!! He loves people and other dogs!!!
Kyra loves her new brother! She has learned so much from having to share me, and some of her things! He is learning tons from her, and she from him!
With plenty of friends who love him, arrangements can be made while I am house sitting for him to stay with his friends!
